Manus AI has officially set a new world record for startup growth, reaching $100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue just eight months after its public release. The company announced its total revenue run rate has surpassed $125 million, fueled by a consistent 20 percent month-over-month growth rate. This achievement outpaces previous benchmarks set by high-growth unicorns like Wiz and Deel, signaling an unprecedented demand for autonomous AI agents. Prior to this rapid ascent, the Singapore-headquartered firm raised $75 million in a funding round led by Benchmark. Benchmark General Partner Chetan Puttagunta joined the board alongside founders Red and Pan to guide the company through its expansion. Currently, the team consists of 105 employees across Singapore, Tokyo, and San Francisco, with plans to open a new office in Paris shortly.

From Conversation to Delegation

The startup positions its platform as a "General AI Agent," designed to move beyond simple chat interactions toward genuine task delegation. Since its launch, the system has processed more than 147 trillion tokens and generated over 80 million virtual computers. These virtual environments allow the AI to browse the web, execute code, and manage complex files independently of human supervision. Recent updates, including the release of Manus 1.5, have introduced technical innovations such as "Wide Research" and the ability to build mobile applications from natural language prompts. The company’s focus on context engineering has set an industry standard for how agents retain information over long tasks. These tools have helped millions of users worldwide transition from simple question-and-answer prompts to assigning entire projects to the AI. Manus is now focused on accelerating its product release cycle and hiring across all departments in its four global offices.
