Zepo Intelligence Raises $15 Million to Defend Workspaces Against AI-Driven Social Engineering

Zepo Intelligence has successfully closed a $15 million Seed investment round to address the rapid escalation of AI-powered social engineering. The funding was provided by European venture capital firms Kibo Ventures, eCAPITAL, and TIN Capital. This capital injection will support the global scaling of the company’s platform, designed to protect organizations from threats like deepfakes and personalized phishing.

The startup specializes in what it calls Agentic Social Intelligence, a security layer that moves beyond traditional training videos and email filters. Their proprietary platform utilizes autonomous AI agents to monitor digital workspaces such as Slack and Microsoft Teams in real time. These agents identify and intercept fraudulent voice calls or messages before employees can fall victim to credential theft.

Zepo intends to use the $15 million to execute an aggressive hiring strategy, specifically targeting experts in data engineering and Artificial Intelligence. The company plans to expand its operations across Europe and the United States over the next 18 months. With existing hubs in New York and Madrid, the team is well positioned to attract global talent.

This investment arrives while traditional cybersecurity tools struggle with a 1,200 percent rise in attacks fueled by generative AI. CEO Antonio Muñoz explains that modern security failures typically begin with human psychology rather than system vulnerabilities. Zepo's technology bridges this gap by providing live threat detection that adapts to how individuals interact with digital tools.

Before this round, Zepo had already demonstrated significant market traction with five-fold year-over-year revenue growth. The startup was recently recognized by Google as one of the most innovative cybersecurity companies in the world. It has also earned spots in elite industry accelerators managed by NVIDIA and Amazon.
