Xoople announced today the closure of a $130 million Series B funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $225 million. The Madrid-based data infrastructure company aims to build a global system of record for physical change on Earth. This investment solidifies Xoople as the most heavily funded startup in the emerging physical-world intelligence category. The round saw participation from a diverse group of investors including Nazca Capital, MCH, and the Spanish Government's CDTI. After operating in stealth mode since its inception in 2019, the company is now moving into its commercialization phase starting in the second quarter of 2026. This transition marks the culmination of seven years of deep technical development and strategic planning.
CEO Fabrizio Pirondini stated that every major computing era creates a new system of record that defines the economic centers of that era. Xoople is building that infrastructure for the AI era by deploying satellites capable of producing precise, scientific-grade data sets. These insights will allow AI models to move from simple analysis to autonomous action via agentic workflows. To achieve this, Xoople has partnered with L3Harris Technologies to develop specialized optical sensors for their satellite constellation. These sensors are designed to collect data that is significantly more accurate than existing monitoring systems. The primary goal is to provide a real-time understanding of the physical world directly into existing enterprise workflows.
Current private preview customers include government agencies and Fortune 500 companies focusing on supply chain optimization and agricultural forecasting. The intelligence is also being used for insurance risk modeling, disaster response, and urban planning resilience. By integrating directly into cloud tools, Xoople allows organizations to act on real-world information without manual intervention. Unlike traditional Earth observation companies that target defense contracts, Xoople focuses on the enterprise AI boom. Their distribution-first strategy ensures that data is formatted natively for deep learning models rather than human eyes. This approach secures a clear commercial pathway well ahead of full hardware deployment. More information can be found at xoople.com.
Xoople represents a strategic shift from selling satellite imagery to providing the essential data layer for AI agents that require real-time ground truth. By framing their data as a "System of Record," they are positioning themselves as the physical world equivalent of a CRM or ERP. This move directly addresses the commoditization of AI models, where the ultimate competitive advantage lies in owning the proprietary, scientific-grade data required for autonomous decision-making in logistics, insurance, and national security.
