Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Spindle AI, an agentic analytics platform that uses multi-agent AI systems to model business scenarios and forecast outcomes. Expected to close in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2026, the deal brings deep expertise in machine learning and autonomous decision-making systems directly into Salesforce's Agentforce platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Spindle AI's technology transforms how enterprises use data by shifting from retrospective reporting to predictive action. The platform combines neuro-symbolic AI agents with AI-native data systems to generate and optimize scenario models in seconds, allowing business teams to simulate complex decisions around pricing, go-to-market strategies, and sales mix changes. Rather than asking "what happened," companies can now evaluate "what should we do next" through hundreds of automated scenario simulations running continuously in the background.
Co-founders Ryan Atallah and Carson Kahn bring proven track records to Salesforce. Atallah previously founded ClearGraph, which was acquired by Tableau (now part of Salesforce), while Kahn served as founder and CTO of Volley ML at JPMorgan. Their team will integrate into Agentforce to focus specifically on Agent Observability and Self-Improvement, enabling AI systems to continuously monitor, explain, and enhance their own reasoning.
The acquisition addresses a critical enterprise challenge: vast amounts of data remain locked behind technical complexity, making it difficult for teams to extract actionable insights. "The future of the agentic enterprise isn't about having the most data, it's about making that data speak a common language," said Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform. Spindle AI's capabilities will power custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization for every Agentforce user.
This marks another addition to Salesforce's aggressive expansion into AI-driven systems. Recent acquisitions include Informatica for data management, Apromore for process intelligence, and Regrello for supply chain workflow. Together, these deals position Salesforce to own multiple layers of the multi-agent AI stack, from data quality to autonomous decision-making.
Spindle AI's integration will enhance Agentforce 360's ability to deliver trustworthy, explainable AI at enterprise scale. "The next generation of agentic systems will be measured by how well they can continuously monitor, explain, and improve their own reasoning," said Carson Kahn. This focus on transparency addresses growing enterprise demands for AI systems that can justify their recommendations and demonstrate measurable business value.
This acquisition reveals Salesforce's strategic pivot from customer relationship management platform to comprehensive agentic enterprise system. While competitors focus on isolated AI features, Salesforce is systematically assembling the complete stack needed for autonomous business operations: clean data pipes (Informatica), process context (Apromore, Regrello), natural language interfaces (Waii), and now predictive intelligence (Spindle AI). The timing matters. As enterprises move beyond simple chatbots to AI agents making consequential business decisions, observability and ROI measurement become non-negotiable. Spindle solves the "trust problem" by enabling continuous self-improvement loops and transparent reasoning, transforming Agentforce from a productivity tool into a strategic decision engine. This positions Salesforce not just to automate workflows but to fundamentally reshape how enterprises plan, forecast, and optimize operations. The message to competitors is clear: the next battleground isn't AI features but integrated agentic ecosystems that can prove their value.
