Salesforce has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Momentum, a conversational insights and revenue orchestration platform. This strategic move aims to enhance the capabilities of Agentforce 360 and Slackbot by processing unstructured data from third party communication channels. The transaction is expected to finalize in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027.

The acquisition focuses on Momentum’s universal ingestion engine, which captures interactions from popular tools like Zoom and Google Meet. By turning static audio and video into structured intelligence, Salesforce can provide its AI agents with deeper context. This ensures that every customer interaction contributes to a more accurate and comprehensive view within the CRM.

Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce, emphasized that visibility and context are essential for the promise of autonomous agents. He noted that Momentum accelerates their roadmap by unlocking the long tail of conversational data. This integration allows Agentforce 360 to incorporate the true voice of the customer into multi-step workflows.

For go-to-market teams, the merger promises to close the loop between unstructured conversations and structured actions. Santiago Suarez Ordoñez, CEO of Momentum, stated that joining Salesforce allows his team to transform meeting audio into intelligence that drives immediate revenue impact. This transition from simple data logging to active orchestration is a key goal for the combined companies.

Moving forward, customers can expect a seamless integration where AI agents trigger complex workflows based on spoken commitments made during video calls. Salesforce will likely continue its aggressive acquisition strategy to fill technical gaps in its agentic AI ecosystem. This follows recent deals for companies like Cimulate and Informatica.

This acquisition signals a pivotal shift in the enterprise AI landscape from generative tools to autonomous agents that require total context. By capturing the ninety percent of business data that currently vanishes after a meeting ends, Salesforce is positioning itself as the central nervous system for business logic. This move challenges competitors by moving beyond text based data and establishing a new standard where conversational intelligence is the primary fuel for automated revenue growth.
