Google introduced Gemini 3.7 Flash on August 13, 2026, calling it the most intelligent model yet in its Flash series for coding and agents. The release arrives three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash and ships with an introductory price of $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through December 31, 2026.
Developers can use the model through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, and agent-first workflows in Google Antigravity. Enterprises get access through Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and the Gemini Enterprise app. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in supported countries will see Gemini Spark run on 3.7 Flash.
Gains on coding, documents, and business workflows
In Google’s product post, the company reported stronger debugging and issue resolution versus 3.6 Flash, higher first-pass code accuracy, and better scores on FrontierCode 1.1 Main (43.6% vs 34.4%) and DeepSWE v1.1 (65.3% vs 49.0%). On WebDev Arena, Elo rose to 1588 from 1538. For document-heavy work, GDP.pdf jumped to 34.0% from 22.0%, and AutomationBench rose to 30.4% from 17.0%.
Google said 3.7 Flash thinks more carefully through multi-step planning and tool calls, which should cut retries in engineering workflows. Introductory pricing expires at year end, after which rates move to $1.50 per million input tokens and $7.50 per million output tokens on January 1, 2027. The company also said the model ships with updated safeguards against CBRN and cyber-offense misuse.
Decoded Take
Google is competing on the workhorse layer: cheap enough for production agents, strong enough for coding loops, and available broadly while rivals gate their fastest tiers. The pricing clock matters. Teams that standardize on 3.7 Flash before January will feel the step-up immediately. Watch whether Flash keeps absorbing agent workload that used to require Pro-class models, and how that reshapes Google’s enterprise packaging against OpenAI and Anthropic.
