Blaize Holdings and PT Datacomm Diangraha officially established a technology alliance during GITEX Asia 2026 in Singapore to explore the potential of AI inference solutions across Indonesia. This partnership aims to integrate Blaize's programmable AI computing with Datacomm's cloud infrastructure to serve Indonesia's enterprise and public sectors. The agreement focuses on high-demand areas such as physical AI, public safety, surveillance, and industrial automation. Indonesia currently leads Southeast Asia with a 31 percent annual growth rate in the AI sector according to Marketing-Interactive. Projections suggest that sovereign AI initiatives could contribute up to 140 billion dollars to the national GDP by 2030. This alliance positions both companies to capture a significant share of this emerging market through highly localized and energy-efficient digital solutions.
A primary component of the cooperation involves exploring AI Inference as a Service via Datacomm's DCloud platform. By combining the Blaize Graph Streaming Processor technology with local data centers, the partners intend to offer scalable and secure processing power. This infrastructure is essential for real-time video analytics and sensor-driven intelligence required for modern smart city projects. Beyond cloud services, the memorandum of understanding targets specific industrial AI applications and logistics optimization. The companies plan to deploy computer vision tools to enhance productivity in Indonesia's manufacturing and shipping hubs. These efforts align with national goals to boost industrial efficiency through advanced digital transformation and intelligent automation.
Dinakar Munagala, CEO of Blaize, noted that Indonesia is at a critical inflection point for AI adoption and growth. He emphasized that Datacomm's established relationships with government and enterprise clients provide the necessary foundation for deploying real-world AI value. This infrastructure is expected to unlock new capabilities in public safety and smart infrastructure across the archipelago. Tan Wie Tjin, President Director of Datacomm, added that the alliance is a natural step in securing Indonesia's digital future. He stated that the combination of his company's cloud expertise and the Blaize inference platform uniquely positions them to serve accelerating demand. Both organizations view this non-binding agreement as the first step toward a more integrated technology framework in the region.
This alliance represents a significant move toward Sovereign AI as Indonesia seeks to keep its data processing and infrastructure within national borders. By utilizing Datacomm’s localized DCloud infrastructure, Blaize circumvents the typical reliance on global hyperscalers that often struggle with local data residency laws. For the broader industry, this partnership highlights a shift where hardware specialized for the edge, such as Blaize's GSP, becomes the backbone for national digital sovereignty programs in emerging economies. As Southeast Asia's digital economy matures, the demand for localized, energy-efficient computing will likely drive similar hardware-infrastructure partnerships across the region.
