Trend Micro has officially transitioned its enterprise business unit to TrendAI, marking the shift with a deep strategic partnership with AI research leader Anthropic. The collaboration embeds Claude AI models into the TrendAI Vision One platform to power automation and agentic workflows. This move aims to secure the entire AI lifecycle for over 575,000 customers across 185 countries, providing a consolidated defense against emerging threats.
The alliance focuses on scaling threat research through the TrendAI Zero Day Initiative. By utilizing the advanced reasoning capabilities of Claude, the teams intend to identify vulnerabilities in AI systems and infrastructure before they reach production environments. This proactive stance is a direct response to the expanding attack surface created by rapid enterprise AI adoption.
Leadership from both organizations emphasizes that this engagement will define how AI is secured moving forward. Rachel Jin, Head of TrendAI, noted that the collaboration will scale their vision for AI security globally through research and defense. Ash Alhashim of Anthropic highlighted that the partnership is helping to tilt the scales back toward defenders by advancing the next iteration of vulnerability reporting.
In the coming months, the partners will align their global go-to-market strategies, focusing on high-growth regions like Asia-Pacific. They are set to co-present at the Spark Leadership Exchange in May 2026 to discuss AI risk governance. This event will provide a platform to engage with hundreds of security leaders on the future of AI-native operations.
Further innovation is expected through the HackerVerse, a security validation initiative that leverages autonomous agents. This program will allow organizations to test their detection capabilities in real time against sophisticated simulations. The partnership effectively establishes TrendAI as a leader in the race to provide autonomous, consolidated security that keeps pace with technological change.
This partnership marks a definitive shift from using AI as a tool to securing AI as an asset. As Anthropic restricts high-severity vulnerability models like Mythos AI under Project Glasswing, the industry is moving toward a model of Agentic SIEM where defenders must fight autonomous threats with autonomous tools. By partnering with a frontier AI lab, TrendAI is positioning itself as the foundational layer of trust for the next generation of business infrastructure, ensuring that the transition to generative AI does not come at the cost of enterprise safety.
