Accelerating Innovation in the Kingdom

TikTok and Blossom Accelerator have announced the second cohort of their SME Empowerment Program in Saudi Arabia, specifically targeting startups that utilize artificial intelligence. This initiative aligns with the digital transformation goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and follows a successful inaugural cohort that helped founders raise millions in capital. Entrepreneurs joining the program can access equity-free grants of up to $60,000 to scale their ventures.

A Structured Growth Journey

The program structure includes a specialized AI hackathon to identify high-potential talent, followed by a three-month intensive accelerator designed to refine business models. These tracks are engineered to help founders build investment-ready companies capable of competing on a global scale. Dr. Hatem Samman of TikTok Saudi Arabia noted that the platform believes in the vital role startups play in driving economic growth and innovation.

Proven Results and Ecosystem Support

Emon Shakoor, the CEO of Blossom Accelerator, emphasized that the goal is to equip founders with tools and mentorship to build businesses that power the future digital economy. The program has a proven track record, with the first cohort supporting 14 startups that generated $840,000 in revenue growth. These founders eventually secured more than $14 million in external funding, demonstrating the initiative's impact on investment readiness.

Strategic Government Partnerships

Strategic support comes from Saudi governmental entities like Monsha’at and the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE). These partners facilitate expanded reach and foster the sustainable growth of SMEs within the national economy. By aligning with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the program reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for technology.

Building the Future of Deep Tech

Interested founders can currently join the waitlist for the accelerator program through the official website. The initiative remains a key driver in shaping the regional startup landscape by bridging the gap between global tech giants and local entrepreneurial talent. This growth journey is tailored specifically for ambitious entrepreneurs looking to leverage the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.

The pivot of the TikTok and Blossom partnership toward artificial intelligence reflects a broader maturation of the Middle Eastern startup ecosystem. While earlier initiatives focused on general digitalization and female inclusion, this specific focus on AI indicates that Saudi Arabia is moving aggressively into deep tech territory. By integrating global platform reach with local government backing from Monsha’at and CODE, the program creates a high-velocity environment for startups. This trend suggests that regional venture capital will increasingly flow toward companies that can demonstrate sophisticated AI integration rather than simple service-based models.
