ST Telemedia Global Data Centres and SuperX AI Technology have officially debuted a new AI Innovation Centre in Singapore at the STT Singapore 5 facility in Tai Seng. This strategic partnership follows a January agreement aimed at helping regional enterprises transition from initial AI concepts to pilot programs in mere weeks. The centre addresses a critical shortage of localized infrastructure that often prevents organizations from scaling their artificial intelligence initiatives effectively.
The facility provides immediate access to state of the art hardware, including NVIDIA Blackwell GPU infrastructure with 192GB of high bandwidth memory. Supported by Intel Xeon Gold processors and 400G InfiniBand networking, the environment is built for high speed data processing and complex simulations. A dedicated user portal allows teams to provision standard GPU plans quickly, removing the friction typically associated with setting up internal AI labs or private data environments.
Recent research commissioned by STT GDC identified a significant gap in foundational infrastructure across nine Asian markets. The study found that many organizations remain stalled in the early stages of AI maturity because they lack local, enterprise grade compute resources. By offering local hosting, the Innovation Centre also helps businesses in regulated sectors meet strict data residency and sovereignty requirements that public cloud providers often cannot satisfy.
Qualified customers can access a 14-day free trial to validate the performance and cost efficiency of their AI models before making long term capital investments. This pilot program is designed to de-risk corporate AI spending and provide a clear path toward production ready scale. It ensures that businesses can make confident, data driven decisions about their infrastructure needs after testing them in a real world, secure environment.
Once a pilot is successful, the partnership offers flexible deployment models including hybrid and private AI configurations within the global network of STT GDC. SuperX provides the necessary orchestration software and proprietary hardware, while STT GDC maintains the resilient, AI-ready physical infrastructure. This collaborative approach sets a new benchmark for how enterprises can achieve measurable returns on their AI investments while maintaining operational resilience.
This collaboration represents a significant shift toward localized Sovereign AI solutions, where data residency and hardware proximity become essential for regulated industries. SuperX's aggressive transition from interior design to high performance compute suggests a massive bet on the scarcity of AI infrastructure in Asia. By embedding proprietary orchestration within STT GDC's established data center footprint, the partners are creating a seamless pipeline that converts short term experiments into permanent, high value infrastructure contracts. This model effectively bypasses the high costs and logistical hurdles that currently keep many regional businesses trapped in the experimentation phase.
