Staynex Group has announced the acquisition of Sleap.io in a deal valued at 12.8 million Euros, or approximately 15 million Dollars. This move marks a significant consolidation in the travel technology sector as Staynex looks to integrate decentralized booking solutions into its global platform. The acquisition aims to bridge the gap between European market expertise and Staynex’s existing strength across Asia. Sleap.io has built its reputation as a pioneer in the Web3 travel space since its launch in 2023. Operating on the Camino Network, the platform allows users to book over 1.5 million hotels using hundreds of different cryptocurrencies. By minting reservations as non-fungible tokens, Sleap.io provides travelers with true ownership and flexibility over their bookings.
The Singapore-based Staynex Group focuses on AI-driven trip planning and membership-based travel rewards. Under the leadership of industry veterans, the group is preparing for its own token generation event for the STAY token. This acquisition provides an immediate live platform and real-world utility for their upcoming tokenized ecosystem.
Following the transition, Sleap.io founder Michael Ros will take on the role of CEO of Europe for the Staynex Group. The core team from the Swiss startup will join Staynex to ensure continuity and accelerate technical innovation. This leadership shift ensures that the proprietary booking engine and AI search tools continue to evolve under the new parent company.
Travelers can expect enhanced product capabilities as the two entities merge their databases and distribution networks. The partnership offers exclusive rates for digital asset communities, including holders of major NFT collections and ecosystem partners. By combining resources, the unified company intends to challenge legacy online travel agencies through lower fees and superior data privacy.
This acquisition signals a maturing phase for the Web3 travel industry, moving from experimental startups to a consolidated global infrastructure. By merging Sleap.io’s blockchain-native booking engine with Staynex’s AI capabilities and Asian market dominance, the deal creates a serious contender against traditional online travel agencies. It proves that tokenized loyalty and on-chain reservations are successfully transitioning from niche tech concepts into scalable, real-world utility within the hospitality sector.
