Smart Garage, an AI-led automotive service platform, has successfully raised ₹2.4 crore ($257K) in a Pre-Series A funding round. This capital injection represents the initial phase of a broader ₹15 crore fundraising strategy designed to transform the automotive aftermarket in India. The New Delhi-based startup plans to use the investment to scale its operations and enhance the technical infrastructure across its rapidly growing network. The company leverages a tech-enabled B2B2C ecosystem that utilizes artificial intelligence to optimize diagnostics and garage workflows. By integrating AI-driven insights, Smart Garage aims to fix the inefficiencies found in traditional, fragmented repair centers. This approach ensures greater transparency for vehicle owners and provides technicians with precise, data-backed guidance to improve overall service quality.
With a current network of over 500 partner garages, the startup is eyeing a significant expansion to 10,000 workshops by 2030. These operations are bolstered by internal integrations with Pikpart for spare parts and Claim Champion for insurance solutions. This full-stack mobility model allows the company to serve a wide range of stakeholders, including OEMs, insurers, and fleet operators through a unified digital platform.
The Indian auto aftermarket is currently projected to surpass $20 billion, and Smart Garage is positioning itself at the center of this digital shift. Originally founded under Ratnashil Online Services Private Limited, the firm has grown from a single outlet into a comprehensive digital enterprise. The team remains focused on achieving a strong revenue trajectory by the 2027 fiscal year while setting new standards for automotive efficiency.
This funding round signals a major shift in the Indian automotive sector toward the same AI-driven approach seen in global markets like the UAE. While the UAE focuses on environmental resilience through thermal imaging and LiDAR, Smart Garage is tackling India's fragmentation by creating a standardized digital twin for every service interaction. By merging spare parts supply chains with AI diagnostics and insurance claims, the company is bridging the gap between hardware repairs and software-led predictive maintenance. For the industry, this represents the end of the traditional mechanic era and the start of a transparent, data-verified service economy.
