This total includes 14 million dollars from long-term partners Insight Partners and Siemens Healthineers, alongside 2 million dollars in non-dilutive research grants. The investment aims to scale the company's Transpara technology across international markets and deepen its research into personalized screening.
The funding follows a series of landmark clinical studies validating the role of AI in radiology. The MASAI trial, published in The Lancet, recently proved that AI-supported screening provides consistently favorable outcomes compared to traditional double-reading methods. This research highlighted a significant reduction in radiologist workload while maintaining high cancer detection rates across the study cohort.
Innovation continues with the focus on autonomous AI triage, a concept that could modernize screening efficiency. Prospective research in Nature Medicine demonstrated that Transpara can safely filter out low-risk mammograms, reducing reading burdens by up to 63.6 percent. This breakthrough suggests a future where clinicians focus their expertise only on the most suspicious cases identified by the software.
Beyond detection, ScreenPoint's risk prediction algorithm is outperforming traditional competitors in the field.
