RunPod Secures $20M in Seed Funding to Scale Specialized AI GPU Cloud

RunPod, a cloud platform designed for AI developer workloads, has successfully raised $20 million in Seed funding to expand its globally distributed GPU infrastructure. The round was co-led by Intel Capital and Dell Technologies Capital, marking a significant entry of hardware giants into the specialized AI cloud market. In conjunction with this investment, Intel Capital Vice President Mark Rostick will join the company board of directors.

The startup provides two primary services: an on-demand GPU Cloud for intensive model training and a Serverless GPU offering for scaling production inference. The fresh capital will be used to grow the team, which has already expanded nearly ten times in the past year. RunPod also plans to build new partnerships and integrations to create a more seamless user experience for AI engineers.
