Beijing-based robotics firm ROBOTERA announced a massive RMB 1 billion strategic funding round on March 23, 2026. This capital injection pushes the company valuation past the RMB 10 billion mark, solidifying its position as a global leader in humanoid robotics. The round included prominent new backers such as Gaocheng Capital, Singtel Innov8, and the CICC Porsche Fund.
This financial milestone follows an impressive commercial trajectory where the company has already secured over RMB 500 million in cumulative orders. Half of these orders originate from international markets, including nine of the world's ten largest publicly listed technology companies. Such rapid adoption highlights the global market readiness for ROBOTERA specialized hardware and intelligent systems.
The company differentiates itself through fully in-house hardware development, ranging from proprietary motors to joint modules. Its flagship L7 bipedal humanoid has set world records in athletic performance, while the XHAND1 dexterous hand achieved 70 percent of human efficiency in logistics tasks. ROBOTERA shipped over 1,000 units of its direct-drive hand in 2025 alone, demonstrating scalability.
ROBOTERA has moved aggressively into industrial applications, particularly in logistics and customs inspections. In collaboration with SF Express, the firm deployed a cross-border solution that moved from a pilot phase to a large-scale delivery with orders exceeding RMB 50 million. Operations are currently active in major hubs like Shenzhen and Beijing, optimizing workflows for automotive and electronics giants.
With the fresh capital, ROBOTERA plans to accelerate technology iteration and expand production capacity for various sectors. Future efforts will focus on e-commerce logistics, high-end automotive manufacturing, and pharmaceutical distribution. By leveraging its Hexa-Core lineup and the ERA-42 Large Model, the company aims to become a cornerstone of the global embodied intelligence ecosystem.
The rise of ROBOTERA represents a shift from pure academic research to high-velocity commercial industrialization within the humanoid robotics sector. By securing a diverse syndicate of 16 industrial investors spanning automotive and telecommunications, the company has effectively built its own customer pipeline and supply chain. This funding round demonstrates that the industry is moving past the prototype hype phase and into a period of tangible return on investment. As ROBOTERA monetizes sub-components like dexterous hands while refining full-size bipedal systems, they provide a blueprint for how robotics firms can achieve financial sustainability through a parts-first strategy. This success suggests that the next frontier of global manufacturing will be defined by platforms that seamlessly integrate proprietary hardware with advanced spatial reasoning AI.
