Protecht Group has announced the acquisition of VISO TRUST, a US-based platform that uses artificial intelligence to manage third-party risk. This strategic move aims to combine Protecht’s governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions with advanced AI capabilities. The deal follows a significant investment period for Protecht and targets a global risk management market expected to reach 41.7 billion dollars by 2034 according to IMARC Group.

Central to this acquisition is the integration of agentic AI into the Protecht ecosystem. These AI agents are designed to automate complex GRC workflows that were previously handled manually by risk teams. By utilizing these tools, organizations can conduct vendor security assessments in minutes rather than weeks, which significantly accelerates the onboarding process for new partners. This speed is essential for maintaining agility in a fast-moving digital economy.

Recent data from KPMG suggests that while 83 percent of organizations plan to grow their third-party networks, only 18 percent have fully integrated vendor risk management. This leaves a dangerous gap that cybercriminals frequently exploit through external partners. VISO TRUST’s technology specifically addresses this by analyzing security documents automatically to provide real-time risk scores and continuous monitoring.

This acquisition occurs just one year after Protecht received a 280 million dollar investment from PSG Equity. The capital has allowed the company to execute an aggressive global expansion strategy and consolidate its position against competitors. Retaining the founders of VISO TRUST, Paul Valente and Russ Sherman, ensures that deep domain expertise remains at the heart of the new product roadmap as they integrate their technology into Protecht's platform.

Customers can now access a unified solution that offers continuous monitoring of third and fourth-party risks across vendor networks. This shift from static point-in-time assessments to dynamic visibility helps boards make data-driven decisions and ensures audit readiness. The focus remains on staying ahead of sophisticated threats without the need to significantly increase headcount, providing a scalable path for enterprise growth.

The acquisition of VISO TRUST by Protecht signals a fundamental shift in the GRC industry toward agentic automation. By moving away from manual spreadsheets and questionnaires, Protecht is setting a new standard for how enterprises handle supply chain vulnerabilities. As cyber threats become more automated, the defense must follow suit, making AI-native risk management a necessity rather than a luxury for global organizations looking to scale safely.
