Plume Finder, Inc. announced the successful close of a $3.9 million seed round led by Berlin-based climate VC AENU. The investment round saw participation from Y Combinator, Kima Ventures, RAISE Sherpas, Better Angle, and Collaborative Fund. This capital injection is earmarked for doubling the size of the engineering team and entering the Italian and American markets by late 2026.

The startup addresses the critical bottlenecks in clean energy development by replacing manual research with automated intelligence. Its platform uses AI agents to synthesize 250 live data sources and 50 million documents, covering zoning, grid proximity, and environmental constraints. Developers can now perform complex geospatial queries using natural language to find viable project sites in seconds.

Founded in 2024 by experts from Palantir and Harvard, Plume aims to function as the Bloomberg Terminal for the energy sector. By predicting grid connection queues and identifying local regulatory risks, the software significantly reduces the high abandonment rates common in early-stage development. Current clients across four countries report that the tool has allowed them to scale project pipelines fourfold without increasing staff.

The technology allows teams to spend less time on spreadsheets and more time building relationships in the field. Automated pre-diagnostics against 100 criteria generate exportable reports for heritage sites, flood zones, and terrain slope. As global demand for solar and wind power surges, Plume provides the digital infrastructure necessary to transition from prospect to permit at record speed.
