Oracle Launches Fusion Agentic Applications to Redefine Enterprise Work with Autonomous AI Teams

A New Era of Autonomous Work

Oracle has unveiled Fusion Agentic Applications at the Oracle AI World event in London. This new class of software moves beyond simple assistance by deploying coordinated teams of AI agents to achieve specific business goals. Built natively into the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications suite, these agents can reason and execute decisions in real time using existing enterprise data and policies. Steve Miranda, executive vice president at Oracle, noted that the current pace of work requires moving beyond passive systems of record. These new applications aim to reclaim time for strategic activities by managing complex processes autonomously. Unlike traditional copilots, these agents operate with full governance and security within the transactional system to drive measurable results.

Intelligence Built into the Core

The applications leverage shared context to remember past decisions and intent across various steps. This continuity prevents the need for users to manually reconstruct information as a project progresses through different departments. The agents also perform continuous reasoning, adjusting their actions as conditions change to keep work moving toward a final objective without human intervention. Oracle has released 22 specialized applications covering finance, HR, supply chain, and customer experience. For instance, the Workforce Operations agent streamlines scheduling and payroll, while the Collectors Workspace automates cash collection processes. These tools are designed to surface only the most critical exceptions for human review, allowing staff to focus on high-value judgment calls.

Expanding the AI Ecosystem

To support this rollout, Oracle introduced the Agentic Applications Builder within the Oracle AI Agent Studio. This no-code environment allows organizations to orchestrate their own AI workflows using a library of reusable agents. Built-in observability tools also help leaders measure the return on investment for each agent deployed by tracking time saved and cost reductions. Industry experts suggest this move marks a significant shift toward the autonomous enterprise. Mark Smith of ISG highlighted that coordinating agents inside a secure application suite is a major differentiator for the company. Others noted that deep integration prevents the common friction found when bolting external AI tools onto existing workflows, ensuring data remains secure and auditable.
