Miravoice, a San Francisco startup, has closed a $6.3 million Seed financing round led by Unusual Ventures. The company aims to reinvent global data collection by replacing traditional, human-operated call centers with advanced conversational AI. This capital infusion, supported by Neo and 25madison, will fuel engineering growth and infrastructure scaling to handle millions of calls annually.
The platform allows organizations to conduct complex phone surveys using AI agents that mimic natural human conversation. Unlike typical chatbots, these agents can manage rigorous interviews featuring over 120 questions and intricate branching logic. The technology is designed for ease of use, enabling researchers to launch surveys as simply as creating a digital form.
Founded by former product leaders from Google and Apple, the company addresses the high costs and slow speeds of quantitative research. Miravoice reduces operational expenses by up to 90 percent while providing data insights in hours instead of weeks. The team has already completed over 100,000 production calls for various enterprise and academic clients.
Research conducted with institutions like NORC at the University of Chicago validates the platform's methodological rigor. The AI agents are capable of handling respondent questions, pauses, and disruptions across 14 native languages. Integration with tools such as Qualtrics ensures that data flows seamlessly into existing research workflows. With strategic backing from industry leaders like Karim Atiyeh and Rajeev Goel, the startup is positioned to lead the voice AI sector. Miravoice is currently expanding its Bay Area team and invites interested applicants to visit the Miravoice careers page. The company remains focused on making high-quality voice data collection accessible and scalable for all research sectors.
The $6.3 million investment in Miravoice signals a significant shift in the $116 billion market research industry toward automated precision. While most voice AI tools focus on short customer service tasks, Miravoice addresses the complex requirements of long-form quantitative polling. By proving AI can maintain academic-grade integrity over 40-minute interviews, the company is turning voice data into a resource as scalable and cost-effective as digital web surveys.
