Luma announced the launch of Luma Agents today, introducing a new category of AI collaborators designed for the creative industry. These agents are built to manage projects from the initial brief to final output across text, image, video, and audio. By coordinating various models and tools within a single environment, Luma aims to bridge the gap between creative ambition and execution capacity.

The foundation of this technology is Luma’s Unified Intelligence architecture, specifically the first model known as Uni-1. This decoder-only transformer operates over a shared token space, allowing it to treat language and imagery as equal inputs in the same sequence. This design enables the system to reason in language while simultaneously imagining and rendering pixels in one forward pass.

Global enterprise partners including Publicis Groupe and Serviceplan Group are already deploying these agents at scale. These organizations use the platform to maintain brand consistency while localizing complex campaigns for dozens of global markets. By integrating these collaborators, agencies can significantly reduce the time spent on manual tool orchestration and focus on creative strategy.

Unified Intelligence is intentionally different from traditional AI pipelines that chain separate models together for text and vision. Those older systems often fragment context, requiring human intervention at every step to ensure the final output remains coherent. Luma’s approach allows reasoning and creation to happen as a single cognitive process, much like how a human artist visualizes a final piece while sketching.

The platform also functions as a sophisticated routing layer that can direct tasks to various leading models like Sora 2 or Google’s Veo 3. This capability ensures that the most appropriate tool is used for every specific step of the production cycle. Because the agent maintains persistent context throughout the project, the final assets remain aligned with the original creative vision.

Luma has designed these agents with enterprise grade safeguards to protect intellectual property and ensure legal compliance. The system includes features such as legal trace documentation and automated content reviews to mitigate copyright risks. These tools allow studios and marketing teams to scale their creative output with the confidence that their data and brand assets remain secure.

The launch of Luma Agents signals a pivot from isolated AI generation tools to holistic production partners that handle the entire creative lifecycle. By replacing fragmented multi-model pipelines with a unified architecture, Luma addresses the context loss that currently plagues automated workflows. This shift empowers agencies to prioritize high level strategy and artistic direction while the AI manages the technical heavy lifting of cross-media execution.
