Lucid Bots Secures $20 Million Series B to Scale Autonomous Exterior Cleaning Platform

Lucid Bots announced an oversubscribed $20 million Series B round co-led by Cubit Capital and Idea Fund Partners. This injection of capital brings the company's total funding to $34 million as it seeks to dominate the American exterior cleaning market. The funds are earmarked for scaling commercial operations and expanding manufacturing capacity in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The company provides a platform for embodied AI through modular drones and ground-based robots designed for labor-intensive industrial maintenance. Their flagship Sherpa drone handles high-altitude cleaning and commercial painting, while the Lavo AI robot manages ground-level pressure washing. These tools allow operators to complete tasks up to five times faster than traditional manual methods while keeping workers safely on the ground.

Unlike many competitors, Lucid Bots leverages a massive dataset of hundreds of thousands of hours of real-world operational logs. This data trains the AI systems embedded in every robot, allowing them to adapt to different surfaces and weather conditions with increasing precision. As an NVIDIA Inception Program member, the firm continues to refine its autonomy capabilities through advanced hardware and software integration.

To lower the barrier to entry, the company launched Lucid Refresh, a Robotics-as-a-Service subscription model. This program provides professional cleaning businesses with hardware, software, and training without the burden of significant upfront capital costs. This strategy has already helped their operator network surpass $75 million in completed jobs across the country, proving the economic viability of autonomous service platforms.

Founded in 2018, the company has quickly scaled its domestic footprint to include nearly 1,000 robots deployed nationwide. With 93 percent of new business coming from inbound interest, the startup generated more revenue in 2025 than in its first seven years combined. This growth underscores the urgent demand for automated solutions in the $237 billion commercial painting and coating industry.
