Juniper Group, an operating group of Vela Software and Constellation Software, announced the acquisition of Tagit Singapore on January 20, 2026. This move integrates the digital banking specialist into TSI Group, a division within Juniper focused on high-volume financial technology. The transaction represents TSI Group's third major acquisition since 2020, significantly expanding its presence in the global fintech market. Tagit is recognized for its Mobeix Digital Banking Platform, an open API and cloud-native solution. The platform processes over $100 billion in transactions annually for retail, corporate, and family banking sectors. Its scalable architecture allows banks to modernize customer engagement and accelerate time to market without relying on large internal development teams. The acquisition positions Tagit within TSI Group's division in Chennai, India. By combining Tagit's front-end capabilities with TSI's backend transaction processing and SysArc's lending automation, Juniper Group is creating a comprehensive financial software ecosystem. This synergy helps existing customers benefit from a wider range of integrated technology solutions across the banking lifecycle.
Sandeep Bagaria, CEO of Tagit, noted that joining Juniper Group marks the next phase of growth for his company. He stated that the milestone reflects a commitment to innovation and will help expand Tagit's global market reach. Karthik Doraiswamy, CEO of TSI Group, welcomed the team and technology stack as a fantastic addition to their portfolio of financial technology software.
Tagit will continue to operate as a digital transformation partner for banks in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The company plans to leverage the industry expertise of Vela Software to deliver long-term value to its international partners. This acquisition ensures Tagit remains a leader in the competitive, digital-first banking environment while gaining access to permanent capital.
This acquisition signals a major step toward the "Bank-in-a-Box" model where backend processing, lending, and frontend engagement are unified under one software umbrella. By folding Tagit into TSI Group alongside previous acquisitions like SysArc, Juniper Group is building a vertically integrated stack that challenges traditional legacy banking vendors. For the industry, this highlights a trend where specialized regional fintech players are being consolidated into global portfolios to provide comprehensive, cloud-native modernization for financial institutions.
