JetStream Security has emerged from stealth with $34 million in seed funding and a clear mission: give enterprises the visibility and control they need to govern AI before it outpaces them.

The San Francisco-based company was founded by veteran security operators from CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cohesity, McAfee, Attivo Networks, and Dazz. The seed round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from CrowdStrike’s Falcon Fund. High-profile angel investors include CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz, Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport, and Okta co-founder Frederic Kerrest, a roster that signals serious credibility in the enterprise security world.

The round closed in a matter of weeks, described by the company as massively over-subscribed.

The Problem: AI Is Scaling Faster Than Governance

Companies are racing to deploy AI agents, bots, custom models, and automation workflows, often without a clear picture of what those systems are actually doing. Most technology leaders still cannot answer basic questions: which data is being accessed, how AI systems behave in production, who is accountable when something goes wrong, or what a given AI workflow actually costs.

According to data cited by JetStream, 93% of executives report challenges implementing AI governance and security guardrails. At the same time, more than 80% of CEOs say they are increasingly optimistic about the ROI of their AI investments, yet half believe their own jobs are at risk if those investments fail to deliver.
