Ivo AI has secured $55 million in Series B funding to accelerate the deployment of its agentic contract intelligence platform. Led by Blackbird Ventures, the round brings the company's valuation to approximately $530 million. This milestone follows a period of exceptional growth, with the startup reporting a sixfold increase in annual recurring revenue and a significant expansion into the Fortune 500 market.
The San Francisco based company focuses on augmenting in-house legal teams by integrating AI directly into their existing workflows in Microsoft Word. Unlike generic language models, Ivo utilizes a proprietary engine that chains together more than 400 distinct model calls to analyze agreements with high precision. This approach acts as a digital junior lawyer that identifies risks, suggests redlines, and helps teams navigate complex negotiations without leaving their primary document editor.
Founder Min-Kyu Jung, a former corporate lawyer, launched Ivo to solve the manual drudgery of line by line contract review. Having taught himself to code to build a better solution, Jung designed the platform to organize static agreements into searchable intelligence. The company's recent success is reflected in its client list, which includes major names such as Uber, Shopify, Canva, and Reddit.
With this fresh injection of capital, Ivo plans to triple its headcount to approximately 180 employees by the end of 2026. The expansion strategy includes opening new offices in London and New York to support international enterprise customers and increase global reach. Investment will also be directed toward deepening the platform's ability to handle multi-step legal tasks using organization-specific context.
A key component of the platform is the AI Repository Engine, which automatically organizes executed agreements into a searchable database. This tool allows legal departments to visualize deviations from standard positions and understand historical precedent across thousands of documents. By connecting intelligence with real-time review, Ivo helps teams make informed decisions based on their entire contract history.
As enterprise legal departments face increasing pressure to move at the speed of business, Ivo's focus on accuracy and workflow integration has proven highly effective. The company reports winning 85 percent of competitive trials, a testament to the trust it has built within a traditionally skeptical industry. The team remains committed to amplifying human judgment through tools that handle the intricacies of modern business law.
The legal technology sector is transitioning from basic generative tools to specialized agentic systems that handle complex workflows. Ivo's valuation surge and successful capture of enterprise clients like Uber demonstrate that risk-averse legal departments are ready for AI that prioritizes accuracy over simple automation. By focusing exclusively on in-house teams rather than law firms, Ivo is carving out a high-value niche that challenges legacy contract management systems and signals a broader shift in how corporate legal departments will operate in the future.
