Conveo raised a $50 million Series A dated September 2, 2026, from DST Global Partners, Balderton Capital, Visionaries, 6 Degrees Capital, and Y Combinator. The Antwerp company said the round takes total funding to $55.8 million and will pay for a U.S. expansion as it tries to move from a research tool to infrastructure that marketing, product, and strategy teams share. Balderton published a matching note the same day.

The product is an AI interviewer that holds video conversations with real consumers, then turns those sessions into a living picture of demand. Conveo said more than 400 enterprises use it, including more than 50 Fortune 500 brands such as Google, Unilever, AB InBev, and Canva. Co-founders Dieter De Mesmaeker and Hendrik Van Hove come from DataCamp and McKinsey. The announcement lists alumni of Ipsos, Palantir, Nike, Unilever, and Starbucks on the team.

The newest layer is StoryLines, which keeps research running on a brand’s standing topics instead of opening a new study for every question. Conveo said that product has already closed multi-million-dollar enterprise deals. The interviewer can run in-home sessions in days, talk to more than 1,000 consumers a month across markets, and cover pricing, brand, and emerging behavior. A Unilever Europe CMI manager, quoted in the Balderton note, said internal demand for new Conveo studies now outruns the insights team.

The company argues that the $153 billion insights industry sits upstream of more than $1 trillion in annual advertising and large corporate research-and-development budgets, yet still delivers surveys that are wide and shallow or focus groups that are deep and slow. The Series A is a bet that an always-on interviewer plus a shared knowledge layer can sit in that gap.

Decoded Take

A $50 million Europe-to-U.S. insights raise is not a model story. It is a workflow story: replace the six-week qual project with a video agent, then keep the transcript pile warm so the next brief does not start from zero. That only works if brand teams trust a moderator they did not hire, and if StoryLines does not become another dashboard nobody opens after the pilot. Watch whether Conveo names more multi-million-dollar StoryLines contracts in the United States, whether those Fortune 500 logos turn into disclosed seats rather than a logo wall, and whether insights agencies start buying the interviewer instead of competing with it.
